respect to response time and reliability.
- Medina County Public Transit (MCPT) does not
discriminate against individuals with disabilities in its
reservation policy.
- All service information provided to
clients and potential clients will indicate that all transit
services offered by MCPT are accessible.
- All service information is available in

systems, ramps, and lifts and will be available to assist clients

Service Animals
Service animals are welcome on MCPT vehicles at no extra charge. Just let MCPT dispatch know you will be
traveling with a service animal when you make your ride reservation.
The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) states that a public transit system CANNOT restrict the use of a
service animal, i.e. dog, or other types of animals, that would be used to assist an impaired individual
utilizing the MCPT. The rider must be in direct control of the service animal at all times. The information
that a service animal will accompany a passenger at the time of the reservation will be noted on the
dispatcher's schedule. Service animals ride at no fee.
MCPT does permit non-service animals such as pets to be transported. Dogs, cats and birds may ride with
the owner if they are in cages or restrained so they are not loose in the vehicle.
Dangerous and vicious animals exceptions:
MCPT will not transport those animals ruled as dangerous or vicious by the Medina County Dog Warden.
DEFINITION OF A VICIOUS/DANGERSOUS DOG (FROM OHIO REVISED CODE SECTION 955.11)(4)(a) "Vicious dog"
